2022 Hyundai Venue Launched At ₹7.53 Lakh! | Motoroids

Hyundai has finally launched the much-awaited 2022 Venue at ₹ 7.53 lakh. The 2022 Venue is more than just a mere facelift, it brings in a host of new features, safety equipment, and design changes to the popular compact SUV. The 2022 Venue is offered in multiple powertrain options and 5 variants. Let’s take a look at its price, variants, features and everything else that you need to know about:

The Kappa 1.2 l MPi petrol line-up will be offered in 4 variants, starting with the E variant which comes at a price of ₹7,53,100. The Kappa 1.2 l MPi petrol S variant with 5MT comes with key safety features like ESC, VSM, and TPMS along with hi-tech digital screens including touch screen audio and cluster and is priced at Rs. 8,70,400. The S(O) variant offers LED headlamps, DRLs, and connecting LED lamps and is priced at ₹ 9,50,200. The top variant of the Kappa 1.2 l MPI petrol line-up is the SX trim that offers advanced Hyundai Bluelink technology, Electric sunroof & rear split 60:40 seats with reclining function, and is priced at Rs. 10,69,500.

The exciting Kappa 1.0 l Turbo GDi petrol line-up starts with the S(O) iMT variant, offering top safety features, digital screens with touch screen audio and cluster and LED headlamps, DRL, and connecting LED lamps as STANDARD. And it comes at an incredible price of Rs. 9,99,900. While the DCT option in S(O) is priced at Rs. 10,96,700. The top-of-the-line SX(O) iMT is priced at Rs. 11,92,000 and the DCT version comes at Rs. 12,57,000

In line with Kappa 1.0 l Turbo GDi petrol, the U2 1.5 l CRDi diesel variants come with a host of standard features like Touchscreen audio, digital cluster, safety features like ESC, VSM, and TPMS along with Connecting type LED tail lamps. It starts with the S+ Manual variant, which is priced at Rs. 9,99,900. The diesel SX manual is available at a price of Rs. 11,42,500 & the top feature-packed SX(O) diesel is priced at Rs. 12,32,000. Dual-tone exterior color option is available at Rs. 15,000.

The Venue facelift features a redesigned front fascia which is more in line with Hyundai’s larger SUVs like the Tucson and Palisade. The older grille has been replaced by a square parametric grille which is finished in chrome. The projector headlamps are placed on the lower part of the bumper just like before with the LED DRLs integrated into them. Interestingly, the facelifted Venue doesn’t get fog lamps, unlike the pre-facelift version.

The turn indicators now get a split design. The side doesn’t see any major changes except the new 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear gets a completely new look thanks to the horizontal LED taillights which are connected by a thin LED strip. The reversing light is placed lower down and is stacked vertically with the reflector. Other details include silver skid plates for the front and rear, a shark fin antenna, and an electric sunroof.

The overall layout of the interiors is similar to the outgoing Venue. The interior gets a new white and black theme with new upholstery for the seats. The driver’s seat now comes with 4 way electric adjustment which is a first in the segment. The familiar 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system has been updated and now it comes with acoustic Sounds of Nature and a valet mode. The Bluelink connected car technology offers 60+ features and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates.

The Venue facelift also comes with Home to Car with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant wherein users can check the vehicle status and control multiple remote functions from the comfort of their home. The instrument cluster is a digital unit that has been borrowed from the Kia Carens. It gets  Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes which also changes the theme of the instrument cluster.

Hyundai has also improved the rear-seat comfort by adding a 2 step recline function, and an air purifier that has been neatly integrated in the driver’s center armrest. Other features include remote start/stop, USB C- type fast charging ports, puddle lamps, ambient lighting, cruise control, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, projector headlamps, an electric sunroof, and wireless phone charging.

The Venue facelift will continue to offer the same powertrain options as before. The naturally aspirated 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine churns out 83ps and 114nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The 1.5-liter diesel churns out 100ps and 250nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The turbocharged 1.0-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine produces 120ps and 172nm of torque. It gets the option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a 6-speed iMT.
